Yes, every once in a while, the place gets busy but the waiting time is usually short.
After trying many Ramen Houses in Calgary a couple years ago, Muku was my favourite. I hadn't been there for a while but got a craving last night - invited a young student from Germany to come along and add this to his list of Canadian Experiences. WOW - Still MY Favourite! The student I brought has been travelling across Canada for 6 months now and said this was his favourite meal in Canada so far! Special thanks to the staff who add to the delightful culinary experience (add BIG Smile and extra star here).
Friendly staff but less than mediocre ramen...broth lacked texture and flavour. There are much better options in the city.
This is the closest to the real thing in Calgary. The broth is really good, and the pork they use is so yummy.
First time since the pandemic start. One of the most delicious black ramen.
Always great, we came in at a time when they were closed, but accommodated us anyways. Excellent food, superb service.
Muku has probably the best Ramen in YYC. I’m gluten intolerant and I will still visit on occasion (even if I pay for it later! Haha) because it’s so delicious. Reasonable prices, kind and polite staff, and the perfect comfort food on the rare rainy day.
MSG Broth!!! We all felt so gross and had nasty burbs from the chemical tasting broth and cheap definitely not handmade noodles. 🤢🤮👎🏽
Cute little restaurant. If you plan on going with more than four friends, do make a reservation because my group of ten was seated at a table of six and a separate table across the restaurant for four. We arrived at a busy time, so totally understandable. The takoyaki was good, and the ramen was even better! Will definitely return the next time I'm in Calgary.
This place is obviously one of the most attractive place to eat in the area. Anytime I come there I am remarkably glad. They maintain their very high standard service and the highest level of dishes they serve. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.
The original or one of the first standalone ramen restaurants of the city. Great prices and great food. Never had a bad experience here.
We ordered the takoyaki, kuroton set menu with salad and sukiyaki rice & spicy miso ramen takeout. When i picked it up, the set menu was missing. The ramen noodles were mushy, broth was also very salty. Takoyaki, the menu said comes with 5 pieces, but it was only two pieces that cut into half. Overall, I do not recommend this place.
I love the Tonkotsu ramen here. Service is fast. Good quality is so far consistent.
Overall just an okay experience. I ordered my ramen specifically with extra firm noodles, yet they still came out soft and mushy which was disappointing as the soup itself was quite good. For appetizers, the fried croquettes and tofu tasted fine but were barely lukewarm in the middle indicating they were not fried fresh and were poorly reheated. The side of pork over rice was also just okay as the pork was quite dry.
Always a great place to grab some eats on a cold wintery night. Hot bowl of ramen noodles and some tasty dishes to compliment the delicious broth. Highly recommend a party of only 2 to 4. The place is popular but cozy. So if you come with a big group prepare to wait... and wait.... or split up your party into small table groups. Like I said it's a cozy place so your sitting at arms length away anyways. Lol
Rich, creamy broth & tons of noodles. Toppings are minimal, but the bowls are very affordable. Add-ons (🥚💕) are also very reasonably priced & highly recommended (4/5).
The best ramen place in Calgary.. very affordable to.. the most authentic ramen restaurant in Calgary probably in the whole province of AB. Only issue is not that accessible by transit.. you have to drive there if you don’t have much time to spare... but whenever you’re in town.. this is the best place to have an authentic ramen... I surely miss this place since now I moved to Toronto
Great appetizers, great ramen at a very decent price. Kind service as well. Really recommend it!
This place didn’t disappoint. Their ramen was so delicious that I decided to put them on one of the top tier ramen place in the city (along with Jinya, Shikenya). The tonkotsu black was satisfying on a terrible winter day with a good portion of chicken karaage on the side.
